Ian is responsible for developing Columbia Threadneedle Real Estate Partners (formerly BMO Real Estate Partners) business in France and across Europe, to complement the current platform. He joined Columbia Threadneedle through the acquisition of BMO GAM (EMEA) in 2021, having previously been with BMO since 2015. He supports Columbia Threadneedle Real Estate Partners’ strategy in Europe, which includes developing new cross-border, pan-European “core / core+” funds for institutional clients as well as “Value-Add” club-deals for private wealth clients. He has over 21 years of experience in the European real estate market, of which over 10 years were with CBRE Global Investors where he co-launched several pan-European funds with a market value totalling over EUR 2.5 billion. Before joining CBRE, Ian gained expertise in retail and office development at Unibail-Rodamco and Bouygues Immobilier. Before that, Ian worked at Polo Ralph Lauren where he was responsible for retail development across Europe. Ian is French-American and studied at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, followed by post-graduate studies at Columbia University and Harvard Business School.
